Hans-Georg Esch, photographer born in 1964 in Neuwied, completed a classic photographic training. Since 1989 he has been working as a freelance architectural photographer for national and international architectural offices. Today he ranks among the most renowned in his field. Alongside commissioned works, Esch has established a wholly unique oeuvre of free and independent works. Esch’s internationally exhibited works and published book series such as “Megacities”, “City and Structure” and “Cities Unknown” deal with the asian cultural imprint within present-day Boomcities. His 360° installations showing city panoramas are displayed world wide. In 2011 he has started to work with the medium film to expand his artistic expression on architecture. Esch lives and works in Hennef/Stadt Blankenberg, Germany.
Oliver Schwabe, filmmaker and photographer born in Hannover in 1966, works together with Hans Georg Esch since 1991. He studied media art at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and at New York University and has been making documentary TV programmes since 1998 for NDR, arte, WDR, and rbb. His short film “The Whiz Kids” (director: Jan Krüger, DOP: Oliver Schwabe) was awarded a Silver Lion in Venice in 2001. Likewise, Oliver Schwabe was awarded the Spiridon-Neven-DuMont prize that same year. In 2002 Oliver Schwabe and Christain Becker founded field recordings filmproduction. Together with Christian Becker he wrote and directed “Egoshooter,” his debut feature film produced by Wim Wenders and “Zarte Parasiten“, which had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in 2009. Schwabe works as a director, director of photography, producer and author in Cologne.
Christian Becker, film editor and filmmaker born in Düsseldorf in 1971, studied at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and at the "Escuela de cine y television", Cuba, where he shot his award winning short film „Viene Del Cielo“. In 2002 he founded "field recordings filmproduction" together with Oliver Schwabe with whom he wrote and directed his first feature film EGOSHOOTER which had its premiere at the Locarno Film Festival 2004. “Zarte Parasiten“, their second feature, was released in 2010. Since 2011 he has edited several TV documentaries (WDR/ARTE), short films, music videos and film coverages for TV cultural broadcasting TTT (TitelThesenTemperamente). Christian Becker works as editor, director and producer in Cologne.
Peter Cezary Simon, composer born in Częstochowa in 1968, studied at Ruhr University Bochum and at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. His current interests include sound art, field recording, DIY analog instruments and the connections between electroacoustics, noise, improvisation, industrial, extreme music, film and video and leftfield sciences. Peter Cezary Simon works as a sound and video artist in Cologne.
Jonathan Ulmer, drone pilot and gimbal operator born in Gießen in 1984, works as camera operator specialized in aerial photography and filming.
